Who or What Shapes Your Life

This blog covers thoughts, writings, and recommendations on what or who influences your life.

Thoughts.  Negative. Positive. Bothersome.

Everybody gets the rascals.  Do you let them control your life?  Often as Christians we are reminded we are sinners.  This deals with the negative of life in becoming what we think about.  What we are not hearing enough is the gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.  (Gal 5:22-23)   There is no law or rule against any of the gifts and all should be part of our thoughts daily, hourly in every second of life.

Repent and put the gifts of love, joy, peace, PKG (patience, kindness, goodness), FGS (faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) in your mindset.  When you slip into that bothersome negative world, refocus on the positive gifts.

Repent is a shift of attitude towards God and the gifts of the Spirit.  It is a complete turning from negative living to a positive lifestyle.  Jesus spoke about it often in the Biblical gospels.  Repent for the kingdom of God is near.  (Mt 4:17)  .  You must be born again.  (John 3:7)   Born again is a new attitude towards God and others and should demand a radical change in how you live in a positive worthwhile life.

What was the mission of Jesus?  Many will say to die for our sins yet he never said that.  Prove me wrong on this with a scripture quote.  He did say many times repent for the kingdom of God is near.  He also said “The Kingdom of God is within you.”  (Luke 17:21)   His mission/purpose is to transform our lives in a positive way.

Salvation or eternal life is strongly linked to how we conduct our lives.  John 3:16 says “whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life.”  Is believing Jesus lived, died after a teaching life on earth sufficient for eternal life?  What about believing and transforming your life to his teaching?  Living the teachings should be the gold standard for daily living.

As we pray “thy Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:10) is a clear expectation to transform our lives.  We must do our part.  You become what you think about includes how you think and conform to the teachings of Jesus.  Repent and shift our thoughts to the teaching of Jesus and the Kingdom of God will be within you.

Think the gifts of love, joy, peace, PKG, FGS. YOU BECOME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT
