Given thoughts are seeds, how good of a garden is your mind? Is it a hard path, rocky ground, full of thorns or good soil? Are your seeds loving, peaceful, joyful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, self-controlled? What are you going to plant? Positive goals and thoughts or trouble and negative thoughts?
The parable in Mt 9:14-17, Christ talks about not putting new wine in an old wineskin given new wine is fermenting and expanding while the old wineskin is stiff and will burst because it will not expand. Is your mind like the old wineskin and cannot accept new thought or ideas. Is your church or business in the insanity mode of doing the same things over and over and expecting different results?
In John 3:1-21 Nicodemus came to Jesus and could not understand when Jesus told him he needed to be reborn or renew his mind with new thought.
In personal relationships (Mt 5:21,22) Christ reminds us of the commandment thou shall not kill. Christ then comments if you harbor malice towards another you are equally guilty in your heart of murder.
Again, in Mt 5:27 Christ instructs us that we as guilty of lust if we look at another with lust in our mind just as we would be with words and actions.
Apply the Golden Rule of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you with a corollary of think of others as you would want them to think of you.
Thought determines action. Actions are first considered in the mind or come from our subconscious before action is taken. Removing harbored negative thoughts from our mind takes effort and is difficult without a great desire. Renew your mind with a positive outlook, habits, and goals.
Columbus was thought a dreamer and fool to think he could sail west to get to the spices grown in the east. The established thought was the world was flat and not a globe. While we should consider new thought ideas with due consideration we should not dismiss without consideration.
Our creator provided us with a free will. We activate a renewed mind with thought, prayer, and training.
Become the best version of you.
